Unlike its rival, the Wrangler xe is a plug-in hybrid. This allows it to claim 21 miles on its electric power alone. It only takes 3 hours for it to recharge the battery at night, if it is needed.
Fuel economy is 49 mpge when driving on an electric charge with the gas hybrid engine. It is 20 mpg if the electric charge is completely depleted. Fortunately, the system is designed to restore power to the battery through regenerative braking and other means.
In comparison, the Bronco V6 Turbo can only earn 19 mpg. In the end, the Wrangler 4xe can go much further on the same tank of fuel. It can go 25 miles for $2.51 while the Ford Bronco Turbo V6 requires $3.96 to accomplish the same feat.

The Wrangler xe produces 50 extra horsepower and 60 extra pound-feet of torque. So you can bet it can do more on the road and on the trail.
Plus with 4xe technology, the torque is almost instantaneous. That’s another way the motor benefits the Jeep driver when it is off road or when it is ready to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in busy traffic.

Wranglers demonstrated a true ease of operation. This includes superior articulation, which reflects on the SUV’s build and its capability. Meanwhile, the Bronco demonstrated difficulty in climbing steep hills and dealing with rugged terrain.

The price of the Wrangler 4xe may be defrayed by up to $7,500 by the federal electric vehicle tax credit. The Bronco isn’t eligible for this assistance.
With 21 miles of travel without any gasoline, the Jeep 4xe is definitely going to be cheaper to own. That’s as much as some people drive in a day.

The Ford Bronco is rated at 19 mpg combined while the 4xe is rated at 20 mpg combined (if the electric is completely gone) or 49 miles per gallon equivalent when the car is driving on a combination of electric and fuel.
