There’s also a 90-degree Hemi V8 with eTorque. The output is 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, making it a direct competitor of the Tundra’s iForce.

   A 90-degree diesel V6 generates 260 horsepower and a load-moving 480 lb-ft of torque. This diesel has the best fuel economy of any truck in either lineup. It certainly stands up to the Ford F-150, Nissan Titan and Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

   The 2023 Tundra essentially has one twin turbo V6, but it produces more power with mild hybrid assistance. This IForce engine generates 348 or 379 horsepower. The iForce Max generates 437 horsepower.

   The 5.7-liter Ram Hemi V8 with eTorque claims the highest maximum tow rating of 12,750 pounds. Meanwhile Ram Ecodiesels can tow about 12,560 pounds. A Tundra tow rating can be as high as 12,000 lbs. The iForce Max Tundra, despite its higher torque output, has slightly lower ratings that max out at 11,450 lbs.
