Firm, masculine lines, a stately posture, and smooth mesmerizing tones. No, we're not talking about one of the original Rat Pack. It's the Chrysler 300, a luxury sedan with style and power, and you needn't be a famous 1950s crooner to afford it.
This full-size sedan is available in four trim levels: 300 Touring, 300S, Limited, and the 300C. The 300 Touring comes nicely equipped with 17-inch wheels or 19-inch on the all-wheel-drive models. Also standard is the rear-view camera and keyless entry. Upgrade the Touring with the Driver Convenience Group package and get 18-inch wheels, a comfort-tuned suspension, LED fog lights and remote start.
The 300S comes standard with upgraded 20-inch wheels with performance tires, LED fog lights and remote start. The 300 Limited improves modestly on the outside with an auto-dimming driver-side mirror, but does jump considerably in interior comfort options. The 300C comes standard with 20-inch wheels and adaptive xenon headlights while improving interior comfort.
The standard engine in the Touring, S, and Limited trim models is the 3.6-liter V-6 putting out 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The same engine in the 300S puts out a little more power at 300 hp and 264 lb-ft torque. Optional for the 300S and standard for the 300C is a 5.7-liter V-8 with 363 hp and 394 lb-ft torque.
An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard as is rear-wheel-drive. Upgrades to all-wheel-drive are available, as are a driver-tuned suspension. The 300S comes with a sport-tuned suspension on the rear-wheel-drive models only, and transmission paddle shifters. In short, this is a fabulous sport-touring sedan sublimely designed to eat up miles of open road in comfort and style.
Full-size on the outside and full-size on the inside, the Chrysler 300 offers plenty of passenger room for everyone. Easy entry and exit, and a well thought out control design blend well with optional leather upholstery, power seating and steering wheel adjustment, heating and cooling cup holders, and a 9-speaker Alpine or 19-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system.
Featuring UConnect, one of the finest infotainment systems available, the Chrysler 300 offers useful tactile controls with touch screen interface for deeper functions. A split rear-folding seat and large trunk offers plenty of storage. Yet, one of the finest features is the quiet ride. The Chrysler 300 is not only supremely comfortable and stylish, but you also ride in peace and quiet as the road rumbles by in serene silence.
The Chrysler 300 comes standard with anti-lock braking, and a stability control system that help keep you on the road. Front-impact, side-impact, overhead, and knee air bags maximize passenger protection.
Available in all but the Touring trim is the SafetyTec Plus package; included are front and rear parking sensors, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beams, automatic wipers, and a forward collision mitigation system with automatic emergency braking. This is not just a smooth ride, but an intelligent, technologically advanced design for maximizing safety on the streets.
