Under the 3500's Hood

The 3500 has three engine options: 5.7-liter V8, 6.7-liter, or 6.4-liter engine. The 5.7-liter V8 gas engine produces 400 pound-feet of torque and 383 horsepower. The 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel engine produces 900 pound-feet of torque and 385 horsepower. The 6.4-liter V8 engine produced 429 pound-feet of torque and 410 horsepower and offers two spark plugs per cylinder to increase torque and power with reduced exhaust emissions. There are here transmission options: six-speed manual transmission, six-speed automatic transmission, and AISIN six-speed automatic transmission. The six-speed manual is modified for better torque and comes with a wear-compensating clutch. This transmission comes is exclusive to the 6.7-liter engine. The six-speed automatic that is responsive and has amazing efficiency. It can be added to the 6.4-liter or 5.7-liter engine. The AISIN six-speed automatic is an electronically controlled automatic rear-wheel drive. This handles higher engine output and increased vehicle weight ratings. This transmission can beef up the torque to 900 pound-feet of torque.

Design of RAM 3500

The RAM 3500 has many combinations to choose from. There are three engines, three transmissions, six trim levels, three cab styles, and two bed lengths. The trim levels are Tradesman, SLT, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. The cab styles are a two-door regular cab, four-door crew cab, and four-door Mega cab. The two sizes are a short bed of 6-foot-4 inches and a long bed with 8-foot. If you want a truck with amazing technology, but you don't need all the bells and whistles, you will love the Tradesman. It offers automatic headlights, a locking tailgate, vinyl or cloth upholstery, power windows and locks, power heated mirrors, and a six-speaker stereo. When you do want all the bells and whistles, the Limited will fit you! It offers additional chrome exterior trim, heated front seats, heated second row, heated steering wheel, universal garage door opener, automatic high-beams, automatic wipers, the RAMBox cargo management system, keyless entry/ignition, and special black leather upholstery. You can always mix and match features to customize your 3500 truck into what you want. Some standalone options are a cargo-view camera, off-road tires, fifth-wheel trail preparation, a sunroof, a load-leveling suspension, and a CD player.
