The Dodge Charger gets some exciting new features for 2017. There are two new trim levels called Daytona and Daytona 392. They feature more power and performance with Daytona Satin Black exterior and unique interior seats. Any trim with the HEMI V8 engine gets a new active exhaust system. There is also the new Uconnect system with an 8.4-inch screen. It includes smartphone integration that allows the driver to use the smartphone system they use every day. Under the Charger's Hood

Every trim level gets an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Of course, there is an option to add all-wheel drive. The base engine in the SE and SXT is a 3.6-liter engine that is rated at 260 pound-feet of torque and 292 horsepower. When the Rallye Group is added, the power is bumped up to 264 pound-feet of torque and 300 horsepower. The fuel economy is 23 mpg combined. When its equipped with all-wheel drive, the mpg is 21 combined. The R/T and Daytona get a 5.7-liter V8 that is powered by 395 pound-feet of torque and 370 horsepower. The fuel economy is 19 mpg combined. The R/T Scat Pack and both the 392 trims get a 6.4-liter V8 with 475 pound-feet of torque and 485 horsepower. The fuel economy is 18 mpg combined. Then the Hellcat gets a 6.2-liter V8 rated at 650 pound-feet of torque and 707 horsepower. The fuel economy is 16 mpg combined.

All the available trim levels are SE, SXT, R/T, Daytona, R/T Scat Pack, Daytona 392, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat. The base features in the Chargers are keyless entry and ignition, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, dual-zone manual climate control, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a 60/40-split folding backseat, 17-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth, a 5-inch Uconnect, and a six-speaker sound system.
