The Jeep Cherokees in the 2017 lineup all get the high-intensity headlamps. Some individual trim levels get some new features and some are returning better. The Trailhawk gets more premium options like heated and ventilated front seats in leather, heated steering wheel, remote start, and more. Under the Cherokee's Hood
The power in the Cherokee is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. There is an option to add the 3.2-liter V6 engine with 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Either engine can come with front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. If you want the Trailhawk it comes only with four-wheel drive. When the four-wheel drive is added, there are two different systems. The first system is a light-duty Active Drive I system and requires no input from the driver and comes with a Selec-Terrain dial with different modes. The other system is the more rugged Active Drive II system with low-range gearing and a locking rear differential. It also comes with an additional Rock mode on the Selec-Terrain dial. If you add the towing package it can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
Design of Jeep Cherokee
You can fit five passengers in the Jeep Cherokee. This crossover comes in five main trim levels. There is the Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk, Limited and Overland. The Sport has sliding and reclining rear seats with 60/40-split folding seatbacks, Bluetooth, a six-speaker audio system, and more. The Latitude adds automatic xenon headlights, body-colored door handles and mirrors, tinted glass, LED interior lighting, upgraded cloth upholstery, a folding front passenger seat with a storage compartment inside the seat cushion, and more. The Trailhawk comes with all-terrain tires, increased ground clearance, off-road-oriented suspension tuning, hill ascent and descent control, unique exterior trim, and more. The Limited has a remote ignition, a wiper de-icer, upgraded power-folding side mirrors with heating, integrated turn signals and puddle lamps, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and more. The top Overland has rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path alert, a power liftgate, unique body-color exterior trim, sound-deadening windshield and front windows, and more.
